The Nurses Improving Care for Healthsystem Elders (NICHE) program offered by the NYU Rory Meyers College of Nursing is designed to:
- Provide clinicians and healthcare institutions with the resources they need to increase knowledge of geriatric conditions among interdisciplinary staff
- Support the implementation of evidence-based geriatric protocols to develop action plans and improve outcomes
- Improve nursing competencies in the care of older adults
The NICHE Knowledge Center offers courses and tools such as webinars with continuing education contact hours, in-service PowerPoints, organizational strategies, and clinical improvement models.
The Leadership Training Program (LTP) is a blended learning approach where participants engage in a rigorous six-week program delivered via an online platform, facilitated by the NICHE team.
NICHE, with a grant from the John A. Hartford Foundation, is now expanding and adapting its well-known acute care program to long-term care. We will offer clinical, team, organizational, and quality improvement content pertinent to long-term care managers and interdisciplinary staff.
